A Note from the Director

Role Model began as a pilot script for a television series and eventually morphed into a brief short film. It was one of the most intimate and rewarding short films I’ve ever worked on, and translating those ideas to a feature length film where they could get fleshed out even more and become accessible to so many people is something I very much desired to see. The short film touched so many people with its resonating and relatable theme and has been our most successful short film to date. I love being able to explore the characters of this film on a deeper level and give our audience a powerful story.

“We’ve got a storied history that teaches lessons to people not just locally, but across the world. This movie has that same sort of impact about how you reconcile between a father and a son through time.”

— Tuscumbia Mayor Kerry Underwood
